Kristina Logan - CMOG Hot ShopStudio-Demo

CMOG Hot Shop Studio Demonstration

In 2016 Kristina was a Guest Artist featured in the Corning Museum of Glass Amphitheater Hot Shop. This special, extended demonstration provides a fascinating peek into the techniques, artistry, and improvisation that comprise contemporary glassmaking. The CMOG Hot Glass Demo Team assisted and Kristina narrated, answering audience questions in real time.

Kristina writes, "The experience gave me new ideas and insight into how I can incorporate blown elements into my future work.  At the end of the demo, the piece broke while being removed from the pontil. It will be re-blown, a reminder that making is at times not perfect! Glass sometimes breaks; it is part of the process, and part of life's teachings."
